Part 3
Identify key words.
This helps you focus on the main idea of challenging questions
Rephrase difficult questions
To understand questions better, rewrite them in your own words. Be careful not to change the meaning.
Organize your thoughts before you write.
Take time to organize your response to short-answer and essay questions. You’ll reduce the time you need to revise.
Write neatly.
Be sure you don’t lose points on answers the teacher can’t read
Use all the time you’re given. If you finish early, don’t leave. Use the extra time to proofread and review your answers

“To see what is right and not to do it is want of courage.”
-           Confucius
Not doing that which is right means that you lack courage. Courage that you lack will always keep you from doing what is right because you are afraid that someone might not think it’s “cool” or “hip.” Doing what is right should apply on your courage not your inability to disappoint your friends. Always do what is right as that is where you will find the courage that you need.

Student success statement
“Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.”
-Matt Biondi
When once you fail something if you’re persistent enough you will be able to overcome that which made you fail and rid yourself of it like it were never there. Persistence is the key for anyone to fully complete anything should you so fail it would not matter as you could easily fix that. If you fail but then persevere than you could make that lose into a win as it comes back around.

Test—Taking
Part 2

During the test Read the directions
It’s important that you follow the instructions exactly. For example, some questions may have more than one correct answer.
Answer each question first.
Doing this can jog your memory about useful facts. You may also come across information that can help you with other questions.
Answer every question
Unless there is a penalty for wrong answers, try to answer every question, you may be able to get partial credit for those you begin but don’t complete correctly.
Ask questions
If a question isn't clear, talk to your teacher. If that’s not possible, explain your answer in the margin.
